Willett Casino Night & Auction - Saturday, April 24th

The Willett PTA is accepting talent and time donations for the Willett Casino Night & Auction to be held Saturday, April 24th, at the Veterans' Memorial Center. There will be dinner, games of chance and a silent auction.

One of the options for PTA money next year will be to fund classified positions that have been cut. We hope to raise enough money to replace some cut positions for the 2010-2011 school year.

For your donation, think low overhead, maximum fun - deliver a dinner, do some gardening, host a theme party.

We already have some great donations: an hors d’oeuvres party at Ms. Perry’s, babysitting and beading with Ms. Foerster, a movie and pizza night delivery, a personal training package, birthday cupcake baking, legal services for estate planning, a garden bed built for your yard and a make-your-own t-shirt birthday party at Ink Monkey.

The deadline for donations will be the third week of March, so put on your creative thinking caps and turn those donation forms in to the school office.

Welcome to the Willett Elementary School PTA Website

The Willett Elementary PTA mission is to build a community at Willett between our teachers, parents and students and raise funds for programs that enhance the Willett students' learning experience.

The Willett PTA buys nearly all the books for the school library, makes grants to every classroom and pays for numerous other needs throughout the year – from classroom supplies to updated technology in the school computer lab.

The PTA’s ongoing programs include:

The weekly school newsletter (Who’s News), school directory and the PTA website
The Garden of Learning classes for grades 1-3
The Kids in Motion PE program for grades 1-6
The school newspaper and literary magazine from the Willett Pub Club
Bravo, Willett’s music appreciation program

The PTA also supports the Willett Chorus and funds special events (the Back-to-School Picnic, school assemblies, Battle of the Books, "An Evening of Family, Fun and Favorites" and the June Ice Cream Social).

All of these activities are made possible by the generous support from our community through donations and PTA fundraisers such as eScrip, Innisbrook gift wrap, Willett Casino Night & Auction, the Scholastic Book Fairs, Box Tops for Education and Willett Family Food Nights.

The PTA holds regular monthly meetings on the third Tuesday of the month that are open to ALL members of the Willett Community.
