The Willett Elementary PTA mission is to build a community at Willett between our teachers, parents and students and raise funds for programs that enhance the Willett students' learning experience.
The Willett PTA buys nearly all the books for the school library, makes grants to every classroom and pays for numerous other needs throughout the year – from classroom supplies to updated technology in the school computer lab.
The PTA’s ongoing programs include:
- The weekly school newsletter (Who’s News), school directory and the PTA website
- The Garden of Learning classes for grades 1-3
- The Kids in Motion PE program for grades 1-6
- Bravo, Willett’s music appreciation program
The PTA also supports the Willett Chorus and funds special events (the Back-to-School Picnic, school assemblies, Battle of the Books, "An Evening of Family, Fun and Favorites" and the June Ice Cream Social).
All of these activities are made possible by the generous support from our community through donations and PTA fundraisers such as eScrip, Innisbrook gift wrap, Willett Casino Night & Auction, the Scholastic Book Fairs, Box Tops for Education and Willett Family Food Nights.
The PTA holds regular monthly meetings on the third Tuesday of the month that are open to ALL members of the Willett Community.
