What’s up in the Library?
I missed the Who’s News deadline last week, but I do want to say that I had a wonderful time with the kids in my last Battle of the Books before I retire. What a delightful way to go out! I hope they had as much fun as I did. A heartfelt thanks to Battle judges and scorekeepers in no particular order: Angie Nadler, Chris Fluetsch, Erin Brennan, Sameera Sandhu, Lynn Starr, Nicole Fucile, Lori Stafford, Michelle Agnew, Todd Haverlock, Joy Klineberg, Janet Kean, Marla Cook, Heidi Perry, and to anyone else who I inadvertently left off. We could not do the Battle without your help!
In case this is my last Who’s News for the year, I want to say that being the teacher librarian at Willett has been the best job I’ve ever had. I will miss every child and all of the wonderful families in addition to missing the best co-workers anyone could ever have! Many children have asked if I will come back and visit, and the answer is an enthusiastic, “YES!”
